This article examines opportunities to develop future doctors’ empathic clinical communication skills in Russian language education through theoretical and discourse analysis and pedagogical modelling. A four-component structure, an exercise system, assessment criteria and a 60-hour course are proposed. These methodological proposals support professionally oriented Russian language classes. Experimental evaluation of their effectiveness remains a task for further research.
